Our search for a holiday home took us far and wide, but ended in Morocco.

We fell in love with the magic of the site at Bab Adrar and the wonderful views across to the Atlas Mountains – so the project began.

We completed the house in 2012 and the garden was laid out at the same time. Of course, the garden goes on changing with the seasons and maturing year on year and there will always be more planting to do – and for the house we are finding more Moroccan artefacts each time we visit, but it is well equipped, fully functional and extremely comfortable.

Morocco gives you the chance to explore all parts of Moroccan life and incorporate them into the finished home. One of the joys is collecting local knick knacks and adding the local touch to Dar Tigamino.

We update the photos on the site regularly so you should get a good idea of how it all looks. However, the garden may have changed a little – things grow really well in Morocco. It is our family holiday home and we try and keep it fresh but informal – it is there to enjoy as we do ourselves.

If you do visit please do not be shy to make constructive comments, but we hope we have thought of most things to give visitors a relaxing time and a taste of Moroccan life.
